Connect Mamori to an AI assistant
Let an AI assistant such as Claude work with your Mamori account: read your food diary and goals, log what you eat, plan meals, keep your shopping lists and check products against your diet and allergies. You decide what it may do, and you can disconnect it at any time.
What you need
A Mamori account, and an AI assistant that supports connectors: Claude on any paid plan, or another assistant that supports MCP connectors.
Connect in Claude
- In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors.
- Find Mamori in the list and choose Connect. If Mamori is not listed yet, choose Add custom connector and enter https://mcp.mamorifoods.com/mcp/account.
- A Mamori page opens. Sign in with your usual Mamori login: email, Google, Facebook or Apple.
- Check which app is asking and where it will send you back to, untick anything you don’t want it to do, and choose Allow.
- You’re back in Claude. Ask it something like “What have I eaten today?”
Other assistants: add a connector (sometimes called an app or MCP server) with the address https://mcp.mamorifoods.com/mcp/account and follow the same sign-in.
What you can allow
- See your Mamori data (always included): read your food diary, goals, nutrition history, meals, favourites, saved products, shopping lists, profile and food preferences, and check products.
- Log food for you: add, change and remove foods and water in your diary.
- Change your lists: create, change, share and delete shopping lists, and add, edit, tick and remove items.
- Manage your meals: create meals from a description, a recipe link or foods you name, and change or delete saved meals.
- Save favourites and products: favourite foods and meals, and save products to your lists.
- Change your profile and goals: change your daily goals, weight, height and activity, diets, allergies and ingredients to avoid.
An assistant can only do what you could do in the Mamori app yourself. Mamori marks every action that changes or deletes something, so assistants such as Claude can ask you before running it (depending on your assistant’s own settings).
Things to try
- “Log two scrambled eggs and a slice of toast for breakfast.”
- “Turn this recipe into a meal in Mamori:” followed by a recipe link.
- “Add the ingredients for my lasagne to my shopping list, for six people.”
- “Is this product OK for me? Barcode 5449000131805.”
- “How much protein have I had this week?”
Disconnect an assistant
In the Mamori app or on the web, go to Settings, then Connected apps, and choose Remove. The assistant loses access straight away. Signing out of Mamori does not disconnect it. Each connection also ends by itself after 90 days; connect again to carry on.
Good to know
- Your assistant never sees your Mamori password.
- Mamori’s verdict on a product comes from the product information Mamori holds. Recipes and allergen labels change, so the pack in your hand is the final word.
- Mamori does not receive your conversations with the assistant, only the requests it makes to your account.
- Something not working? Remove the connection in Connected apps and connect again, or write to hello@notify.mamorifoods.com.
See our privacy policy for how Mamori handles your data.
